A digital illustration from my archives
I rarely participate in the Daily Post’s daily prompts, as they’re oriented more towards writing than the visual arts, but I do keep my eye on them. The prompt for today was A Source of Anxiety, and it included a prompt for visual artists, too: “Photographers, artists, poets: show us ANXIETY.”
This reminded me of a digital illustration I had created over 20 years ago—one that seemed to fit the prompt perfectly. So, I browsed through my archives and found Cabbage Head, which was produced using a very early version of a digital painting program. I don’t recall the exact software, but I do remember that the computer was a PC XT-class workstation.
And now, for something completely different… a lighthearted illustration of an elephant suitor and his love interest. I don’t put pencil to paper too often, but when I do, my silly side comes out. This one is for kids, kids at heart and elephant lovers. I hope it puts a smile on your face. Click here for larger drawing
